I Believe that cell phones should be allowed at school. student should be allowed to use there cell phones when not being instructed. Everyone knows that teaching does not take up the whole class period. we should be allowed to use them when we have free time after teaching is over.We use our cell phones all the time anyways. Why not allow us to use them so we arent breaking the rules, and yes restrictions should be put in place.

i think cell phones are a good thing.We should be able to possess our cell phones because they are our gateway to the outside world. Restrictions should most definatly put in place to prevent distractions in class but we should be able to have them.the same goes for the teachers, they should be able to use theirs also. I believe that cell phones should certainly be allowed in school for both students and teachers. In the world we live in today, cell phones are just part of it. They dont distract us. we are used to multi-tasking because we text while we do everything. Some restrictions should be enforced however, as with anything. Of course students shouldnt be using phones while direct instruction is going on. they should not complain of not understanding if they arent paying attention. Cell phones shouldnt be loud or disruptive to others as well. but i dont understand while there should be any problems with students texting when thay arent busy.

I think that cell phones should be at school because emergencies can happen often or just out of no where they could happenjust like that. If my mom was dying then i would like to see her before she dies and if the office had to contact me then that is 5 minutes that I could be with her before she dies and that 5 miutes could mean something to me and I would never forgive the school for that, all that my dad would have to do is just send me a text or call my cell phone and I would be there in a bit and this is why i think that cell phones should be used by kids

In my opinion, cell phones should be allowed in school. Although some people would argue that they are an interuption in the classroom, that they take away from learning time, and students use their cell phones to cheat. Most kids today just love to text, or that is also a way for students to get in touch with their parents, they are not cheating. I also feel that cell phone usage should be up to the teacher, because the teacher can tell the kids when they are allowed to use their phones, without interupting the class. The school adminitration is becoming way to strict on cell phones, when little restrictions should be applied.

I think that cell phone usage rules should be revised. Students of today are not using cell phones for sharing answers as most people think. Students and teachers should both be allowed more freedom when it comes to cell phones. They should be allowed if they are not disrupting class when the teacher is talking and while others are trying to work. Some kids need to be reached at school by their parents in emergency situations and calling the school and waiting for them to leave class can take valuable time. Teachers might need to use their phones for school business like ordering things for prom and since they can't leave the classroom they should be able to use their phones.
